A delightful breakfast treat that is simple to make using puff pastry and fresh raspberries.

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
  3. Cut the pastry into squares and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Mix the cream cheese, vanilla, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Place a dollop of cream cheese mixture and a few raspberries in the center of each pastry square.
  6. Fold the corners of the pastry towards the center and pinch to seal.
  7. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a sweeter Danish, add more sugar to the filling.
  • Experiment with other fruits like blueberries or strawberries.
