  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 cups milk (for custard)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the sugar and butter in a mixing bowl.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour and baking powder.
  5. Gradually add to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 30 minutes.
